About Patient Benefit Foundation

Patient Benefit Foundation provide patients with financial assistance for surgical procedures, which are classified as an elective by insurance companies but are vital in addressing future complications in a patient’s health. The year 2019 saw PBF make significant strides. The most important accomplishment of 2019 was our patients, whom we were able to help.

Kristine Wallman, married to her high school sweetheart for the last 17 years, is a mom of three beautiful children and live with her family in Katy, Texas. One night she fell and broke her wrist. For an extended period of time she couldn’t afford to pay for her surgery due to out of pocket payments for insurance, it was simply beyond her family’s budget. She couldn’t work, take care of her children, do housework or even drive. Patient Benefit foundation helped her and paid fully for her complicated wrist surgery. She said, “I am thankful to God every day that Patient benefit Foundation was there for me because without the surgery she couldn’t do anything”.

Christopher McDermott, a substitute teacher who could only stand for short periods due to a medial meniscus tear and was looking at the possibility of not being able to continue teaching and providing for his 5-year-old child. He has been a basketball player all his life but after his medical issue his insurance company told him that he is out of luck. He had severe knee pain which lasted for 7 years. He couldn’t sleep and perform his duties. With his little 5-year-old he felt that he was never mentally present for him as a parent because of his chronic pain. One day he saw an advertisement of Patient Benefit Foundation and it turned in to a miracle for him as his prayers were finally answered. He said, “Patient Benefit Foundation is a like his guardian angel.”

Ronald Caesar, a barber, who was shortening his workdays before he received a much-needed hernia repair. For his work he had to stand for extended period of time. He was suffering with chronic lower abdominal pain and desperately needed surgery. Because of his financial situation he didn’t had insurance. And under the circumstances he didn’t know where to go because his hernia could have gone bad and killed him. Patient Benefit Foundation reached out to him and made his day when they told him that he is approved for surgery. He said, “It was such a great feeling when you know that there is somebody who is willing to help me. They got me out of my misery”.

Patient Benefit Foundation provides support to mid and low-income patients with world-renowned health care providers. We would like to engage with communities and individuals who are passionate to help create resource for under and un-inured patients seeking help with elective surgeries. We welcome “Friends of Patient Benefit Foundation” and our focus in 2021 is to continue with OUTREACH and sharing AWARENESS.
